Wanderous is a navigation app that creates routes optimized for adventure.

As you would expect, routes created in Wanderous start and end where you specify. Heres the twist: during your journey the routes intentionally wander to one or more interesting, unique, or notable Spots of your choosing.

Spots can include scenic parks, notable landmarks, historical sites, bustling city corridors, breathtaking vistas, and entertaining public attractions.

For locals and travelers. Get outside and take the first step. A step towards the unknown. Towards new experience. Towards adventure.

~ Extra time on the weekend? Plan an expedition around your neighborhood or town. Plant flags to claim each Spot you explore. Youll be amazed at the number of interesting things which surround you that you never knew were there.

~ Traveling in a new city? Get off of the standard tourist haunts and explore like a local! Theres so much more to every city than what youll find in a guidebook.

~ Boring walking or driving commute? Visit a unique place along the way. Add a bit of wonder and excitement back into your everyday life.

Features:

-- Discover Interesting Places: Wanderous is like a treasure map revealing thousands of amazing Spots, not just in large cities but in smaller towns as well! Spots in Wanderous are 100% unique and are not available in any other app or website.

-- Start an Expedition: Create a route that visits one or more Spots of your choosing. Both walking and driving routes are supported. Wanderous also integrates beautifully with the iOS 6 Maps.app.

-- Track Where you Go : Wanderous lays virtual breadcrumbs as you move around, keeping track of what territory you have covered and what areas you have yet to explore. View all unexplored areas as a fog overlay on the map.

Note: Spots have only been determined in the U.S. Future versions will support more and more countries. (I know: this sucks. I wish I could support the entire world on day one but it is just not feasible. Im working on it!)
